Ladle and PRE Heaters

Main Functions Of LRF/LHF :

FAQ Image

Reheating of Liquid Steel , coming from "Primary Melting Furnace". Ladle Furnace utilizes electric power & graphite electrode to maintain the liquid steel temperature.

Homogenization of liquid steel temperature and chemistry of steel through inert gas stirring/purging. In some technologies induction stirring is also applied.

Slag Layer is formed at the top of the liquid steel ( by adding slag forming agents). While Slag Layer protects the Ladle refractory from Elecric Arc Flare , it also traps inclusions & provides the mean for desulphurisation.

Secondary Functions Of LRF/LHF:

Enabling alloy additions in bulk OR to correct the chemical composition.

Cored Wire addition (with wire feeding system) for trimming OR morphology control.

Enabling deep desulphurisation.

Acting as a buffer for downstream steel making process ( caster etc.)

Induction Furnace Transformer

An induction furnace transformer is used to supply power to an induction furnace, which lowers the high voltage to the lower voltage required for induction furnace applications. Our AMELT induction furnace transformers could be designed from 50Kva to 12,000 Kva.

Power & Distribution Transformer

Power transformer is the type of transformer which have high power handling capacity with the high voltage ratings and used in the transmission section of the power system. Purpose. Distribution transformer is used to step down (reduce) the high voltage to the low voltage for supplying consumer's load.

ARC FURNACE

The electric arc furnace is used to reduce iron from iron ore. Heat is generated from an electric arc between electrodes. Oxygen is blown into the furnace, and lime and other materials are added to combine with the impurities and form slag. Molten iron is extracted and poured out via a tapping spout. It is then processed again in an electric arc furnace to make steel – particularly special quality steel.

Compact Substation

A Compact Secondary Substation (CSS) is a type tested and arc tested assembly comprising an enclosure containing medium voltage (MV) switchgear, distribution transformers, low voltage (LV) switchboards, connections and auxiliary equipment to supply LV energy from MV systems.
